The First of the IAR world series races 2008 , The Bergson Winter Challenge is underway at the moment being lead by two local Polish teams and race results will be reported in the next newsletter.

Gerard Fusil, the Father of Adventure Racing is bringing adventure racing back home to his country of Birth, France. The race starts in Paris at the end of July and finishes im Marseilles in August. The course is around 900 Kilometres making it the longest race to be held in the country. Four person teams which must include one woman will be supported by one or two support personnel. In a departure from his yearly races in Reunion and Oman there is prize money at stake which make it worthwhile for overseas teams to compete and stand a chance of recovering their costs.
The race will be divided into stages with teams regrouping in Parc Ferme, where it is hoped to provide local publicity and perhaps allow local people to take part in mini competitions..
Entries are due to close at the end of march of International Adventurers are willing to donate EUR0 100 towards the cost of the entry fees for teams not already entered. To qualify teams for the donation teams should contact david ogden prior to registering on the GFC Site. You will find more details in my blog http://internationaladventurers.blogspot.com.
