About International Adventurers

David Ogden was borne in Bournemouth Englandpicture David Ogden International Adventurer in 1950  and served a short time in the Royal Navy, before taking up work as a sailing instructor, an injury in 1973 caused him to change his career path, joining a Marine Salvage Company, where he also studied to become a qualified  as a Shipbroker, before becoming a consultant to an Oil Company in Aberdeen, Scotland.

David remained in Scotland working in Oil industry and it was here in 1999 that he was introduced to the sport of adventure racing when he was selected from a group of 50 employees to participate in the Elf Authentique Adventure in the Philippines.  This race was a life changing event and in 2000 David took early retirement to follow his passion for adventure racing.

David had set up International Adventurers adventure racing team  during the summer or 1999 with the aim to build a team to compete in expedition  adventure races around the word. International Adventurers subsequently moved to Cyprus where David continued to  train and race. Over the years International Adventurers has built up quite a stable of athletes from around the world. International Adventurers has always  made in a point to help novice racers get a break into the longer more expensive races. International Adventurers had plans to host a five day race in Cyprus, however there was little local support and the Island joined the EEC increasing the cost of living.

2003 saw David move International Adventurers to Malaysia as a result of working for 3 months with Raleigh International as an Adventure leader, he discovered a country with all the terrain to support adventure racing and training.  The Jungle being had always been his favorite terrain. He continues to race, manage International Adventurers teams and also started working as a reporter, which lead him to expand his International Adventurers business to provide information on the sport of Adventure Racing.
